The second run was for Engine 671 to assist EMS with patient packaging and lifting. Saturday had two box alarms for the Tower Company with the first one being to assist Company 715 Mountville on Donnerville Road. Chief 65 arrived with a lawn mower that was self extinguished with a smoke condition inside. Tower 67 arrived on scene and laddered the building and assisted with checking for extension and ventilation. Tower 67 cleared the scene in 20 minutes. The second box alarm was assisting Company 76 West Hempfield with an apartment building on fire on Oswego Drive. Units from 76 arrived with a smoke showing from the second floor. Crews found a stove fire that was self extinguished with a smoke condition on the interior the assignment was held to units from 76 84 Susquehanna 4 and 67 for ventilation with all units clearing in 30 minutes. Sunday morning brought a gas leak response to the units from 67 68 719 Hempfield and 23 East Petersburg on Bethel Drive. Engine 671 Engine 672 Tower 67 and Chief 67 Dommel made the response and arrived with an active gas leak on the exterior of a residence. Engine 671 deployed a suppression line with Engine 672 securing the water supply. Tower 67 started air monitoring of the residences and confirmed that all nearby structures were vacant. Crews remained on scene until UGI could arrive and dig another hole to secure the leak. Once the leak was secured and all air monitoring was within acceptable levels the assignment was cleared out. To finish out the weekend Tower 67 was alerted to assist Company 23 with a building fire on Graystone Road. Tower 67 arrived and was directed to stage while units from 23 investigated a possible control burn. Tower 67 cleared not long after their arrival.spanpmetametametametap
