Busy Evening for 67 Fire

Box Alarm and Two Extrications

Shortly before 10 PM, Engine and Tower 67 were alerted to the Floating Squirrel in Mountville for a building fire. Engine and Tower 67 staged on arrival and the Incident Commander scaled the incident back to Engine Co. 7 and Tower 67 to investigate an outside fire that was extinguished. Tower 67 cleared shortly thereafter.

Approximately 30 minutes later, a rescue assignment was dispatched to Route 30 Westbound in the area of Centerville Road for a motor vehicle accident with a person trapped. Engine and Tower 67 responded and arrived to find a vehicle on its roof with an occupant still in the vehicle. This was a fatal accident and the occupant was later extricated.

The final call of the evening happened just before midnight when a rescue assignment was dispatched to the 2800 block of Spring Valley Road. Units arrived to find a two-vehicle collision with an occupant still in a vehicle. Engine Co. 67 and Rescue Co. 76 performed an extrication to remove the occupant for EMS.
