The past three days, Tower 67 has traveled to Millersville Borough to train with Company 65 at an acquired single-family structure. Training in acquired structure like this is optimal because of its ability to perform operations on a conventional residential building. The crew from 67 and 65 worked together to refine and refresh their skills on conducting search and rescue operations, self-rescue through wall breaching, and downed firefighter removals from below-grade scenarios. A smoke machine was utilized to simulate actual conditions while the operations were underway. The members of Rohrerstown would like to thank the Millersville Fire Department for organizing and hosting this training event.
