At 1701 hours as the snow started to fall; units from 715 (Mountville), 76 (West Hempfield), 68 (West Lancaster), 84 (Susquehanna #4), 81 (Columbia #1), and 67 were alerted to the 300 block of Primrose Lane in West Hempfield Township for a building on fire. Tower 67, Chief 67 (Dommel), and Lt 671 (Horn) made the response with a staffing of 8; leaving an additional crew in the firehouse. Tower 67 arrived and took side Charlie and placed several ground ladders to the building as interiors crew investigated a report of smoke coming from the wall. Crews were unable to find anything and the assignment was placed available in 20 minutes.
