The day started off at 0652 hours with Engine 671 being alerted to assist Company 68 (West Lancaster) with a crash with injuries at Columbia Avenue and Rohrerstown Road. Engine 671 and Captain 673 (Nonnemacher) arrived with a minor two car crash. The crew from 67 preformed hazard control and assisted EMS with patient packaging, with the assignment being cleared out in 10 minutes. Then at 1035 hours, Companies 67 and 68 were alerted to Rohrerstown Road and Embassy Driver for a crash involving a tractor trailer. Engine 671 staffed with six arrived to find a minor crash involving a tractor trailer and a passenger car. No injuries or fire services were needed and all units were placed available. At 1418 hours; Companies 66 (Lancaster Township), 68, and 67 were alerted to an apartment building on fire on Passey Lane. Tower 67 staffed with five was the first unit on the scene with normal conditions. The crew found a deck that was extinguished on arrival, the crew from 67 checked for extension with none being found. The assignment was completed in 9 minutes of Tower 67 arrival. The last run of the day was during dinner time for a fire alarm on Columbia Avenue. Engine 671, Tower 67, and Captain 672 (Zahm) confirming a false activation. During the evening, the members of Rohrerstown started preparing the firehouse for the pending snow storm that is predicted to strike. The wagon was outfitted chains awhile and extra supplied have been placed on the primary units. The members of Rohrerstown would like to remind everyone to limit their travel during the storm to essential travel only and allowing the road crews to do their job.
